Digital Handbook: Working with Posterior Fetal Positioning in Labor and Birth

This full color photo handbook contains insights into supporting the posterior fetal position as well as captions and descriptions of 21 labor and birth positions that are specifically beneficial for supporting progress with a posterior baby! Just as in our yellow edition of the standard handbook, positions are based on changing space within the three levels of the pelvis as the baby continues their descent and possible rotation. With the goal of reducing intervention, encouraging progress and comfort, and restoring autonomy to the laboring person, this handbook is beneficial for use with both medicated and unmedicated births in any setting. It is an excellent complement to our "Moving Through Labor" class for expectant parents and "Creating Space" and "Posterior Babies and Obstetrical Bias" workshops facilitated by Brittany Sharpe McCollum for birth professionals. It is a useful addition to the labor bag, doula bag, midwifery kit, nurses' station, or laboring room and can also easily be used as a teaching tool with clients.
